Gluten Free Starbucks Style Recipes

Whatever I think of their coffee (if it’s not a latte, I can’t seem to choke it down unless I’m totally desperate), the Starbucks people do know their baked goods. Many of the gluten free Starbucks-style recipes you see here wouldn’t have been developed (at least not by me!) if you hadn’t piped up and asked for them. So … thank you, friends! In a couple months’ time, I’m having the blog redesigned and updated a bit, mostly to make it easier to access past content and (very exciting!) to make it responsive (responsive web design is an amazing way to make a site more readable across multiple platforms). You’re gonna love it. But I’m also going to have a feature for easily submitting recipe development requests. I really do get some of my best recipe-development ideas from you, and I want to make it simpler for you to share those ideas!

As many of you already know, my new new cookbook is all about gluten free versions of your favorite name-brand classic snacks and desserts. Yesterday, I nailed the recipes for Hostess Mini Bites blueberry muffins and Vitatops Chocolate Chip muffin tops. I can’t share those with you now, of course. But since the book isn’t about restaurant recipes, Starbucks-style recipes are fair game for the blog. Here are some of the ones we’ve made so far.

Have another favorite Starbucks baked treat? Let me know in the comments, and maybe I’ll mad-scientist-develop a gluten free recipe for you!

Gluten Free Starbucks-Style Recipes

Here’s the 10¢ tour of these 6 Gluten Free Starbucks-Style Recipes, with a little bit about what I love about each (and another set of links):

Gluten Free Starbucks-Style Chocolate Caramel Muffins: If they didn’t call these muffins, I might have a problem calling them that with a straight face. But Starbucks did it, and they I trust them implicitly. Let’s leave it at that. Tender chocolate muffins filled with …. caramel. C’mon.

Gluten Free Starbucks-Style Iced Lemon Pound Cake: A personal favorite, this iced lemon pound cake is a Starbucks icon, isn’t it? Next time I make this recipe, Imma gonna try it with Meyer lemons, if I can still find them. I hope I don’t have to wait until next year. That would be a doggone shame.

Gluten Free Bagels: I think I may have used a bit of poetic license with this one. I made these super fluffy, roll-with-a-hole-style bagels covered in Asiago cheese, but it’s entirely possible that Asiago Bagels were from Panera, not Starbucks? Either way, Starbucks definitely sells super fluffy non-NY-style bagels. These are they.

Gluten Free Starbucks-Style Vanilla Almond Biscotti: Biscotti is nothing new. But Starbucks just has a way with flavors, and these vanilla almond biscotti really hit the spot—especially with a steaming hot cup of coffee. Make mine a latte. 😉
